Biography
Gao Xiang
Gao Xiang was born in 1971 in Kunming, China. In 2008, he received a Ph.D. in oil painting from China Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, where he studied under Professor Zhong Han. Gao is an expert on the paintings of Giorgio Morandi. He received the Outstanding Artwork Award (only awardee) at the “Third National Youth Art Exhibition.” He currently lives and works in Beijing and Kunming.
Selected Public Collections Gao has been invited to show his work and participate in art projects in China, France, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, South Korea, Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos. His artwork has been collected by the Zendai Museum of Modern Art, the China Millennium Monument, the Yonghe Art Museum, the Lingsheng Art Institute, the Yuan Art Museum, Huantie Times Arts, the Ningbo Museum of Art, the Xiamen Art Museum, the Yunnan Art Museum, the 85 Star Art Center, and the Vestfossen Kunstlaboratorium.
