Day 2: Donegal Head into the historic Donegal town, where you can witness the seal colony on Seal Island, the Bluestack Mountains and the imposing Jacobean castle which sits above the River Eske. Day 3: Inishowen Peninsula Today you’ll travel to Ireland’s most northerly point, Malin Head, on the remote Inishowen Peninsula, where the Atlantic coast surrounds pristine beaches and a landscape of towering mountains and crumbling churches. You’ll visit the Doagh Isle Famine Village before heading to the town of Carndonagh, travelling A must-see, iconic sight, today you’ll visit the famous Giant’s Causeway. Formed by a volcanic eruption 60 million years ago, this is one of the most remarkable, natural sites in Europe, and a highlight of the tour. In the afternoon, you’ll continue to Derry, learning about the fascinating medieval history of this city. Day 5: Glenveagh National Park through atmospheric landscapes. Day 4: Giant’s Causeway & Derry Today you’ll head to Glenveagh National Park, home to herds of wild deer, spectacular rugged landscapes, and Glenveagh Castle, which overlooks the peaceful waters of Lough Veagh. Learn about the history of this castle on a guided tour and perhaps spot an endangered golden eagle. You’ll head back to Letterkenny along the coast, where you can stretch your legs at Bloody Foreland (named for the red hue of the rocks at sunset) and stop off in the quaint village of Dunfanaghy. Day 6: Belfast - UK You’ll leave Donegal today and return to Belfast airport for your flight to the UK.
