With the curatorship of the Argentinean architect Jorge Francisco Liernur and edited by Universidad Andres Bello and Co-op, this volume is a joint effort between several architects who seek to narrate the architectural history of Chile and its cities, with an eye on the political and cultural events of the context. Impressed by the immensity of the Chilean landscape encountered during his first visit to Chile, Italian architect Fulvio Rossetti undertook a four-year investigation with the purpose of turning it into a book. In a luxury edi- tion and with a great wealth of imagery, photographs and drawings, the publication reflects the interest of the author in consolidating a discipline which in Chile is still in the making: landscape architecture. This book presents four decades in the career of architect Ramón López through a collection of 27 designs for theater and opera, that express continuing explorations on perspective, the combination of built elements and projections or the relationship between spectator and scene. This path crosses through architecture, light- ing, stage direction and an intense academic activity, and reveals an important part of Chile’s recent history and cultural production.
