The reasons why BVCH was established as such have already been exposed and are probably circumstantial. However, they can be seen as a local response to this new cultural and professional reality. The particulars of this bureau, composed of strong and disparate characters, were able to function reconciling the autonomy of its members with team cohesion. As Héctor Valdés has described in some of his interviews, two types of commissions could be distinguished in the office: the smaller orders, which were undertaken independently and autonomously by each of the partners, and the major ones that required participation and agreement of the main associates.
