High Risk Youth Program The High Risk Youth Justice Program is one of the Surrey Anti-Gang Family Empowerment (SAFE) programs funded by the National Crime Prevention Strategy. This program brings together community agencies, probation services and other agencies at the CHART table to deliver life skills training for children and youth, in and out of school time including evenings. Provides one-to-one support such as pro social activities, health, employment and education. The program primarily focuses on children and youth in Newton with gang affiliation or a family history of gang involvement. The program also supports parents, with services in Punjabi. Email........................ youthservices.info@options.bc.ca South Asian Family Strengthening Team SAFST is one of the Surrey Anti-Gang Family Empowerment (SAFE) programs funded by the National Crime Prevention Strategy. Provides culturally competent counsellors with a knowledge of immigrant backgrounds to support parents and their families of at risk and gang involved youth primarily in the Newton area. The program focuses on immigrant and refugee families. This is an outreach program meeting families in preferred locations including home visits.
