To: All District Deputy Grand Masters, Worshipful Masters, Past Masters, Wardens, and Brothers of Constituent Lodges of the M.W. Prince Hall Grand Lodge F.& AM. For the State of Louisiana and its Jurisdiction Greetings: This document provides information about the degree work that will be performed at the 202 5 Annual Session. Grand Master Slaughter has authorized the conferral of degrees at the session. He has granted a dispensation for bypassing the normal degree frequency and the number of candidates as outlined in Article 8, Sections 11 & 12 of the Prince Hall Masonic Code of Louisiana. The purpose of these ceremonies is to demonstrate the ritualistic and unwritten work of the Order, as well as the vital importance of uniformity when conferring degrees throughout the jurisdiction. • The Grand Lodge Degree Work will not require any additional fees from candidates. • Candidates for the Master Mason degree must register for the Grand Session to receive their degree. • A representative from the candidate's lodge should be at the degree work to support the candidate. • Before a degree can be awarded, applicants must be investigated, balloted, and approved by their Lodge. • The names of candidates should be sent to the DDGM, who will forward them to the Chief of
Staff by June 10, 202 5 (no approval by DDGM, no degree). • Lodges are responsible for supplying candidates with aprons. Note: The candidates must arrive 30 minutes before the start of the degree work.
