Day 3: Betws-y-Ceod & Llanberis Railway Head into Snowdonia today, visiting Betws-y-Ceod on the way, where you can browse independent shops and buy some local produce. In the afternoon, you’ll continue to Llanberis, at the foot of Mount Snowdon, where you can take the 5-mile return journey on the steam train, taking in the views alongside Lake Padarn, passing Dolbadarn Castle and Llanberis’ twin lakes. Day 4: Llandudno Today you can enjoy some free time to explore the Take another day to explore Llandudno at your own pace. Perhaps stroll along the seafront, enjoy the traditional amusements along the pier, or take a trip up the Great Orme on the funicular railway. Day 6: Caernanfor and Ffestiniog Railway Take in the mountainous scenery of Snowdonia as you board the Ffestiniog Railway, the oldest independent railway company in the world. This historic route climbs over 700ft from sea level, passing waterfalls seaside town of Llandudno. Optional: Excursion to Anglesey Day 5: Llandudno and traversing horseshoe bends. You’ll stop at Caernarfon, home to Wales’ most famous and mighty castle. Day 7: Llangollen and Horse Drawn Barge Today you’ll visit Llangollen, nestled in the Dee Valley, beneath the Dinas Bran Castle. You’ll embark on a horse-drawn barge, an iconic experience which visitors have been enjoying for over 100 years. Whilst you take to the waters, admire the rich flora and fauna of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
