ORLANDO
Florida is home to one of the largest and most vibrant LGBTQIA+ populations in the United States, with an estimated 886,000 adults identifying as LGBTQIA+ in 2020, representing 4.6% of the state’s adult population. In 2021, this number was further refined to include 84,000 to 103,000 adults who identify as LGBTQIA+. Orlando stands out as a beacon of inclusivity and community, boasting the highest concentration of gay and lesbian couples in Florida, as revealed by a 2019 Census Bureau study. Nationally, Orlando ranks fourth for the highest percentage of same-sex couples, showcasing the city’s role as a welcoming and diverse hub for the LGBTQIA+ community.
2024 PRIDE HIGHLIGHTS
Over 230,000+ attendees in 2024, making Come Out With Pride one of the largest Prides in the US. We are the largest single day event in all of Orlando & Orange County. Attendees spent an average of $130.90, generating an estimated $30,107,000 in economic impact, highlighting the event’s powerful contribution. All our proceeds go to support our year round programs such as our Trans & Non-Binary Task Force and Pride Prom. Our Trans & Non-Binary Task Force had an incredible 2024! We hosted six free, community-building events designed specifically for the trans and non-binary community, connecting with over 600 individuals and their families. Our 2024 Adult Pride Prom was a night to remember, with over 1,000 attendees celebrating their authentic selves in style at the Orlando Science Center! Pride Prom 2025 is April 11th.
