Baty Baty has a rich heritage dating back to 1932, originally specialising in the manufacture of high-precision dial indicators and cylinder bore gauges. The company later diversified into non-contact measurement, introducing Optical Profile Projectors and the renowned Baty ‘Shadograph’ series, which set the industry standard and are now proudly manufactured in Bradford, England under the Made in Britain accreditation. Building on its gauging expertise, Baty expanded through the acquisition of John Bull and British Indicators, adding calipers and flexible fixturing to its portfolio. The range evolved further with the introduction of pioneering camera-based Video Inspectors, enhanced by Video Edge Detection technology to deliver greater accuracy, repeatability and speed. Today, this legacy of innovation continues with a new generation of vision and inspection technology, including the high-speed Baty Velo FV for volume manufacturing, alongside the versatile Baty Venture FV and Baty Venture FH. Since joining the Bowers Group in 2010 and relocating manufacturing to Bradford in 2023, Baty has further strengthened its capability to deliver advanced metrology solutions for modern manufacturing.
