SPRING PLAYLIST
This edition of my playlist is dedicated to all the moms. The last Christmas I spent with my mom was in 2017, when she was unable to leave the house. Wanting to make it special, I arranged for the Austonettes, an all-treble a cappella group from Austin, to come and sing Christmas carols. One song, "Mama" by the Spice Girls, held particular meaning for us. It had come out while I was living in The Netherlands, and though the distance was tough, that song brought us closer together, making the miles feel a little less far apart. It’s a moment I’ll always treasure.
