Founded in the early 1960s, the company Alberico Claudio specialized in the production of aromatic herbs, daisies and cyclamen in pots. For the last 10 years, the baton has been passed on to his sons, Marco and Matteo, who have developed and increased the production of Lavandula stoechas and angustifolia, with a particular interest in Syngenta varieties.
With Javelin, we have found flawless stoechas varieties. Strong Deep Purple: vigorous, compact and early with intense coloured flowers. Very reliable plant even for late season sales. Fortissimo Purple is a vigorous plant that is very disease resistant, with a very good response to growth regulators and slightly later than Forte. A truly remarkable feature is the resistance during transport. Javelin Compact Blue is obviously compact, later than its predecessors and particularly resistant to high temperatures. For Angustifolia we have very good results with Aromatico: a Lavender from cuttings with ‘grey’ leaves, compact but very resistant to botrytis, homogeneous flowering with lavender blue flowers. Also excellent for late potting because from April and throughout the summer it has an exceptional yield.”
