Personal protective equipment
PCC will reserve adequate resources for the correct supply of personal protective equipment for operatives use whilst on site. Suitable safety gloves will be assessed and made available prior to commencing work on site, this will be risked assessed. Appropriate hard hat, hi visibility vest and steel toe capped boots will be worn at all times whilst working within the site domain. PPE will be inspected before use by the PCC operatives, and any obvious defects observed must be reported to the site supervisor.

Cuts, abrasions, head injuries

Operatives shall respect and maintain the PPE supplied to them by their employer’s .
Asbestos exposure
PCC will obtain an asbestos (ACMs) survey from the Kiers Specialist Services team prior to undertaking and drilling works, which will identify the known locations (if applicable) PCC operatives will be trained to identify ACMs, and upon suspected identification PCC operatives will immediately stop works, leave the area and notify the Kiers Specialist Services team. The area must be inaccessible to all persons.
