Porterage and Storage The Porterage and Storage team assist with the relocation of items and furniture within the Parliamentary Estate, catering to the needs of Members, Peers, and House staff. Logistics The Logistics team manage a wide range of complex contracts, such as the Offsite Screening and Consolidation Centre (OSCC), Royal Mail, Travel Office, Mail Screening, Westminster Gym, Stationery, and Late Night Transport. The team set logistics standards to ensure buildings can be effectively serviced, contracts are delivered in line with specifications, and provide the best value for money option for Parliament. Security Successful candidates will be required to complete pre-employment checks. This includes security vetting to Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) level or higher, as described in the job description. All successful candidates are required to pass these checks before an offer can be confirmed.
To enable meaningful checks to be carried out you will need to have lived in the UK for a sufficient period of time. To undergo a CTC, you must have normally resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 years out of the last 5 years.

Hours We offer a range of flexible working options and actively encourage applications from candidates expressing a wish to perform the role in a flexible working arrangement such as part-time working, job-share and compressed hours. Net conditioned full-time working hours for staff of the House in the Senior Commons Structure are 36 hours per week plus additional hours as the service of the House may require. This excludes daily meal breaks of one hour. Exact times of attendance each day are to be agreed with line management.
