FIGURE 2-16: TS125 VENT AND DRAIN PORT CLOSURE OPERATIONS [15]

To load and prepare a TS125 cask for transportation, the following high-level activities would be required [11, 15] (detailed operations are described in Section 6.1.3): 1) Install the storage cask impact limiter into the ISFSI pad at the transfer station 2) Using the air pad system, relocate the storage cask to the transfer station 3) Secure the J-Skid to the storage cask and connect the upender/downender to the J-Skid 4) Using the upender/downender, rotate the storage cask from the vertical to the horizontal orientation 5) Transfer the empty TS125 cask, secured to the intermodal skid, from the transportation conveyance and place on the skid positioning system at the transfer station 6) Remove the lids from the TS125 cask and the storage cask 7) Install the docking collar and related equipment
