5.3.3.7 Number of Sensitive Environmental Areas Nearby Route The number of sensitive environmental areas along each of the seven routes has been established by START [1] , with identifiable differences between nearly each of the routes. 2 Table 5-4 shows the number of square miles of sensitive environmental areas along each of the seven routes and provides the basis for the assessment utilized in the MUA. 5.3.3.8 Public Acceptability of Route The public acceptability of the seven routes to be evaluated varied between each of the routes. The HHT routes were judged to be more favorable over the barge route evaluated in the MUA based on several factors including the recent attempted shipments of radioactive materials on the
