5.3.3.12 Average Accident Frequency on Route Using data produced from the START [1] , each route could be evaluated for the frequency of the average accident rate on each route by mode of transport or cumulatively. Based on these results (see Table 5-6), the average cumulative accident frequency for each route was very small, but there are differences in the frequencies, which provided the information necessary to perform the pairwise comparison. Table 5-6 provides the average accident rate by mode of transport on the route and also provides the cumulative accident rate for the entire route, which was used to perform this evaluation. 5.3.3.13 Transit Duration per Conveyance and Consist The transit duration for each route was roughly estimated during the team meeting and arrived at the following estimates: 1. HHT route from BRP ISFSI to Petoskey, MI/Gaylord, MI: a. Transfer the W74 canister from the W150 to the TS125 (perform tests) and then transfer TS125 to transportation cradle expected to take 2 days per TS125 b. Prepare and load TS125 onto HHT, secure, and prepare TS125 for shipment expected to take 1 to 2 days per TS125 c. HHT to Petoskey, MI/Gaylord, MI expected to take 1 day per TS125 d. Prepare and load TS125 onto cask railcar, secure, and prepare TS125 for shipment expected to take 1 to 2 days per TS125
