• Revised by ad hoc working group: Timing and eligibility, allowable activities, definitions, and rulemaking. • Revised by DOE: Funding distribution method. Some of the issues that have been revised still need work. Also, while the working group has reviewed and discussed the issues, the recommendations have not been fully reviewed by all the states on the regional committees. The 11 th issue – funding allocation – was saved for last and is now being handled by the 180c Interregional Team. The Team will also undertake the effort to get input and approval from the full regional committees on the recommendations for the other 10 issues. Other planned activities for the Ad Hoc Working Group include reviewing two other work products from the 2005 topic group: the merit review criteria and the grant application/guidance document. In addition, the ad hoc working group is planning to discuss the development of a workshop or tabletop exercise, plan for a pilot project, and develop a technical assistance document, if needed. All these activities are on hold until DOE-NE resumes its interactions with the states and tribes on Section 180(c) implementation. The Interregional Team has the option to undertake these activities as part of its current work or in the future.
