Numerous provisions take place before and during shipment, conducted either by the FRA or by FRA-certified state inspectors. 10 CFR 73.37(b)(1)(vi) Application must be submitted to the NRC 6 months in advance and must include information the licensee has obtained from states (e.g., escorts, safe havens, contact information). Agreement between the U.S. and Canada committing to joint efforts to protect and improve the water quality of the Great Lakes. Various parties may provide notification (see below). DOE has traditionally accepted state input. It is not clear whether licensees must consider state input on key dates and curfews as part of preplanning and coordination. 10 CFR 73.37(b)(2) Licensee must provide advance notification to the governors or their designees. If sent by mail, notification must be postmarked 10 days in advance; otherwise, notification must be received 7 days in advance. Changes to the schedule of 6 hours or greater require notification.
