MAYOR’S MESSAGE

Welcome to a new season of recreation and leisure programming! At the Town of Tillsonburg, we strive to offer all residents the recreational amenities and programs they need to enjoy balanced lifestyles. In case you missed it, Tillsonburg has two brand new parks: Weston Family Park and Doug Wilson Park. Both were dedicated in July and provide new recreational space for families living in the Northcrest subdivision. In August, the Town also installed brand new playground equipment in Westmount Park. The new playground will open this September. Come check it out! Want to stay up to date on more Town and Council happenings? Tillsonburg Community Centre - Aquatics Wing Renovation

Construction Advisory Renovations to the aquatics wing of the Tillsonburg Community Centre (45 Hardy Ave.) are continuing, with completion anticipated later this fall.* A new accessible entrance and expanded customer service area are part of the project, as well as barrier-free change rooms and an access ramp into the pool. As construction continues in August, we will see exterior and interior finishes begin to take shape and the completion of the Health Club rework.

Major funding for the project is being provided by the Government of Canada and the Province of Ontario through the Investment in Canadian Infrastructure Program (ICIP). It is the second phase of the Tillsonburg Community Centre Recreation Rehabilitation project. We know everyone is anxious to get back swimming and are doing all we can to get this project finished. Your patience and understanding is appreciated.
