Advancing Clinical Decision-Making Developing Emergency Care

Location: Distance Learning | Course Code: CPD7016| Start Date: Semester Three

This module will seek to enable clinical practitioners to interrogate and understand the complex factors underpinning decision-making in the context of health and social care. The module will underpin themes running through the advanced clinical pathways in significantly more detail. The aim, to embed critical thinking in clinical decision-making and the adoption of a systematic and empowered approach. Targeted at experienced nurses, midwives and AHPs already working at or towards an advanced level of practice. This practice related module will allow in depth exploration of current developments in the health service that guides and shapes the provision of emergency care provided in the UK. The module encompasses current innovations and trends that guide our practice. The focus of the module is for students to understand the drivers that influence emergency care and explore how change is managed and the complexities involved in implementing changes to enhance our clinical practice.
