This practice-focused module will enable you to develop a sound knowledge and understanding of the complexity of communicable diseases in the context of Public Health. It is applicable to students working in all healthcare settings. We will examine the history, causes and epidemiology of communicable diseases from a broad public health perspective.
This module will enhance your assessment skills, enabling you to recognise changes in a patients' clinical condition and communicate findings to colleagues in the multidisciplinary team. It will examine the management of these patients while implementing human factors principles to improve patient safety.
