Introduction

The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is one of the foremost social science universities in the world. A specialist university with an international intake, LSE’s reach extends from its Central London campus to around the world. The School has a cosmopolitan student body, with around 11,000 full time students from 148 countries and staff of just over 3,000, with about 46 per cent drawn from countries outside the UK. The LSE Estates Division is responsible for development and implementation of the LSE Estates Strategy supporting the School’s strategic objectives. The Estates Capital Development team has enjoyed unprecedented success in recent years, with acclaimed major projects gaining Stirling award nominations and the Team winning various ‘client of the year’ accolades. Reporting to the Assistant Director, Capital Development, the Project Manager will join to take responsibility for leading a range of estate development projects valued from £0.1m up to £10m across a diverse estate portfolio including academic and teaching facilities, social and hospitality space, commercial property and sports facilities. You will gain the opportunity to manage projects as the client representative with responsibility for external project team leadership whilst also gaining the chance to manage selected projects as the internal project manager.
