Dinner with 10 Sisters Brings Alpha Phis of All Ages Together in Sisterhood Alpha Phi recently launched its inaugural nationwide Dinner With 10 Sisters events, and it was a night to remember! Each member of our International Executive Board (IEB) graciously hosted nine fellow Alpha Phis, creating an unforgettable atmosphere of sisterhood and connection. This one-night, low-pressure, sisterhood-bonding experience occurred on February 22 at 6 p.m. for sisters who live in the same community to connect over a shared meal. The only commitment is to arrive at dinner at the specified time and have a great night with your fellow Alpha Phis. This dinner was hosted on the same night in local restaurants and sisters’ homes across the country in Austin, Texas; Boston, Massachusetts; Columbus, Ohio; San Luis Obispo, California; Martinez, California; Chicago, Illinois; and West Palm Beach, Florida. And with only nine tickets available per dinner (plus the host for 10 seats total), this was a highly sought-after event. Reflecting on the evening, Dawn Kreisel Bauer (Theta Lambda-Central Missouri) , International Executive Board (IEB) Director, shared that the dinner was a huge success. "It provided a unique opportunity to bond with sisters I may not have had the chance to meet otherwise," Dawn said. "The intimate setting fostered meaningful conversations, allowing us to share cherished Alpha Phi memories and truly get to know each other on a deeper level." Opportunities like this truly reflect the Fraternity’s High Ideals of Membership and encompass how sisterhood lasts a lifetime. Kappa Epsilon Welcomes New Members with Alumnae Initiation Alpha Phi’s Kappa Epsilon chapter at the University of Georgia recently welcomed nine alumnae initiates. Kappa Epsilon’s Catherine McGetrick wanted to initiate her mother because she never had the opportunity to join a sorority when she was younger. Now was the perfect time. "I remember calling her on Bid Day and telling her about how excited I was to join Alpha Phi,” Catherine recalled. “Since becoming a member, Alpha Phi has given me so much — friendships, leadership opportunities and much more. When I heard that my mom might have an opportunity to join, I was so excited. She always loved to hear about what was going on in Alpha Phi, and I knew this was something that would be perfect for her. I am so proud I got to watch her be initiated. I couldn’t ask for a better mom, best friend and – now – sister!” Learn more about the alumnae initiation process here: alphaphi. org/alumnae-engagement/alumnae- initiation/.
