Description The Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor course prepares the instructor to teach and evaluate the swimming strokes and related skills found in the Lifesaving Society Swim for Life program. Candidates will learn proven teaching methods, planning skills, and a variety of stroke development drills and correction techniques. Prerequisites: 15 years of age by the end of the course; Bronze Cross certification (need not be current). Fee: $130.50 + $40.00 exam fee + $82.00 manual fee Note: To be deemed a fully qualified instructor, candidates must complete the Lifesaving Instructors course as well as this course. 100% attendance is required to be successful in the program.
Description The Lifesaving Instructor course prepares candidates to teach the Lifesaving Society’s Canadian Swim Patrol Program, including Bronze Star, Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross, Basic and Emergency First Aid, and CPR-A, CPR-B, and CPR-C. Prerequisites: 15 years of age by the end of the course; Bronze Cross certification (need not be current). Fee: $130.50 + $90.00 manual + $40.00 exam fee Note: To be deemed a fully qualified instructor, candidates must complete the Swim Instructors course as well as this course. 100% attendance is required to be successful in the program.
