MABS Helpline Tel: 0818 07 2000 Monday to Friday from 9am to 8pm. MABS is made up of 53 Money Advice and Budgeting Services operating from over 60 offices nationwide. The MABS offices operate an appointment scheduling system and each service is staffed by experienced Money Advisers who work with clients experiencing difficulties with a wide range of personal debts including personal loans, mortgages, credit card debt, catalogue debts, debts to legal moneylenders and hire purchases. MABS offices are managed by voluntary Boards that may include the main stakeholders (Citizens Information Centres, Local Authorities, Social Welfare, Society of St Vincent de Paul etc.) at local level who have an interest in assisting people who are in debt or at risk of getting into debt. These Boards have no involvement in the day-to-day client work of the office, and have no access to personal information or details of clients.
