Applications are accepted from Autumn onwards. Entry is based on an interview rather than formal qualification. Interviews usually take place between February and June, however late applications are accepted. Increasingly adults who didn’t get the opportunity to complete secondary school are finding it helpful to complete a Back to Education Initiative (BTEI) programme first, in preparation for further education. Further education courses lead to careers in their own right, but they are also a way of progressing to third level education. Mature students considering higher education can apply directly through the Central Applications Office (CAO).
