FITNESS GENTLE YOGA

YOGA BASICS WITH ALICIA A fluid and guided practice through yoga foundations. You will build balance and restore confidence, strengthen your core and reduce mental and physical stress. This is best for beginner to intermediate skill levels. Modifications will be offered for various abilities. Explore the numerous mind and body benefits while improving your quality of life. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat. 9 Sessions: $99 Wednesdays, Jan. 14 – March 11  | 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. 3583-S1 9 Sessions: $99 Wednesdays, March 25 – May 27  | 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. QI GONG AND TAI CHI Instructor: Andrea Kennedy Location: JAC Dance Studio 3583-W1 Qi Gong and Tai Chi are slow gentle exercises which combine gentle stretching with breathing. Tai Chi ruler, 8 pieces of brocade, Yi Jin Jing and the 37 form Yang style Tai Chi will be covered. Beginners are welcome. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. All yogis will enjoy this low-impact practice promoting strength, flexibility, balance and clarity. In this Yoga class, we incorporate a variety of yogic practices such as pranayama (breath work), meditation, and visualization, in combination with flowing and held postures, to bring a powerful sense of balance, and peace to the mind. Each class will begin with pranayama (breath techniques) and move into a variety of asanas (poses) including sun salutations, standing poses, balancing postures, core strengthening, and backbends.
