Learning the game of chess promotes imagination, creativity, develops memory, teaches independence, inspires self-motivation, and develops a logical way of thinking. The mission of the Chess with Mrs. Phang program is to provide an opportunity for elementary-age children to develop strategies and critical thinking skills, while increasing their knowledge and understanding of the game, but most importantly, enjoy playing the game of chess and having fun with friends.
