Hospitality Review June 2018 - Digital

ting with people for Harry

The experience has only reinforced Harry’s plans for the future. “My future plans are to bring my two jobs together – being a chef and being a pastor. I’d like to create a church teaching kitchen at Wynyard that includes an organic community garden. The idea is to teach people who might be on the outskirts of society or need a hand and don’t have many life skills to work in the restaurant. “I’m different from some of the young apprentices out there wanting to make their mark in the cooking world. I’m older and I’m married with three kids. I’m looking at things from a different perspective. I’d really like to share what I’ve learnt, take what I know and help others catch the hospitality bug.” To find out more about TasTAFE Drysdale’s Cookery courses visit: www.tastafe.tas.edu.au or phone: 1300 655 307.
