tem which would far surpass a little black book. We would have to hold a pencil and paper in hand at all times. Sin is any lack of conformity to or deviation from the Word of God. Certainly we should confess those sins which the Holy Spirit brings to our remembrance. We need not wait until the end of the day. We should be in a constant attitude of fellowship so that at any time we can come to Him for cleansing and forgiveness. Q . San Diego, Calif. — “Would it be proper in the light of Luke 18:8-8 to pray that God will send judgment on any wicked people who treat us un justly?” A. This passage tells us that men ought always to pray and not faint. Unfortunately, too frequently do we do just the opposite. This is the parable of the importunate widow who always kept at it. She did not have a husband to go out and plead her case with the judge. Here our Lord Jesus was emphasizing the im portance of remaining faithful in prayer. The New Testament does not teach, nor does this passage justify, praying that God will send judgment on anyone whatsoever. Rather we are to pray for them earnestly. Q . Long Beach, Calif. — “Is there any thing in the Bible that suggests that the Lord is building a better world? To me it seems that the world is getting worse instead of better.” A. You are. right in that we see evi dences of this on every hand that the world is getting worse instead of better. This is morally speaking as well as spiritually speaking. Our business is not Christianizing the world. The Holy Spirit tells us in the Word of God that the church is made up of those who are the called-out ones. It is our responsibility to live and witness faithfully concerning God’s matchless love and grace and to win men to Christ. 30

will be doing. Turning the sun into darkness and the moon into blood-red means He is indicating His dis pleasure. Man has nothing to do with it. Q . Bakersfield, Calif. — “Don’t you think that in our times ministers should “preach from the New Testa ment?” A. Yes, we do. However, we believe they should preach from the entire Bible, the whole counsel of God. The problem behind this letter may be several different things. Some lib eral p reach e rs use contemporary books of the day which is wrong, of course. Other ministers take their messages only from certain passages, books, or sections of the Bible, com pletely overlooking others. This is wrong, too.
