Below are the key points discussed by the Pearland City Council during the 2022 Strategic Visioning Retreat and the Strategic Pillars. For each priority, the supporting initiatives were evaluated, reworded and realigned. The priorities were ranked by the Council in order of importance. The shaded areas reflect initiatives supported by the Council’s strategic priorities.

initiatives 1. Innovate and invest in public safety resources; 2. Support small and expanding businesses/ simplify permitting; 3. Increase investment in drainage infrastructure; 4. Promote high-quality, high-value dense development with all City resources and infrastructure in mind; 5. Focus on priority/program-based budgeting reviews; 6. Create anchor districts, catalyst (regional amenity) reviews; and 7. Develop a long-term capital asset financial plan
