Alan and Angie Johnson have assembled a crew that has been on fire since debuting a ’37 Ford Cabriolet Phantom at the 1993 Street Rod Nationals. Since then over 70 extreme projects have rolled out of Johnson’s shop over the past three decades and some of those will be front and center in the eighth “Industry Driven” display at the 56th Street Rod Nationals. Stop by and get to know the dynamic duo of Alan and Angie Johnson who also recently acquired Walker Radiator Works and revamped it into Johnson’s Radiator Works with many new appli- cations using 100-year-old brass and copper technol- ogy. In 2023 a ’54 Chevy Suburban JHRS built won one of the two “Manufacturers Choice” awards pre- sented by Alumicraft Street Rod Grilles. Industry Driven

I n 2018 the NSRA invited Lokar Performance Products to be the inaugural “Industry Driven” dis- play and eight years later the invite went to Johnson’s Hot Rod Shop. For the fourth year in a row, dragstrip war- riors from decades ago will lineup near the entrance to the South Wing of the Expo Hall near the outdoor NSRA Merchandise booth. They will fire up twice a day Thursday through Saturday during the event and massive crowds will gather to take in the thundering voice of raw power. Nitro Knockout

Auto Metal Direct (AMD) along with Harrison’s Rod and Custom will present a display of 15 handpicked AMD-equipped GM trucks. “Truck Town” will be in the North Wing (near Door N5). Public voting will determine two “People’s Choice” winners. People’s Choice

Kid’s Zone

For the third year Backyard Bounce Event Services will ‘blow up’ a fantastic play land in the North Hall of the Expo Center next to the Food Court. Thursday-Saturday from 9:30am to 4pm kids will enjoy

exploring the Chip Golf Shot, Giant Checkers, Giant Cup Pong, or Mini Basketball Allstar before visiting the Food Court for some treats.
