THE POWER OF MINDSET

Today, I am proud to say I am out of the crowd because my mind has shifted from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset. People with a fixed mindset believe that their ability and intelligence are unchangeable. They avoid challenges and give up easily when faced with difficulties. (That was me in 2017.) People with a growth mindset believe that their ability and intelligence can be developed through effort, learning and persistence. They embrace challenges and see setbacks as opportunities for growth. (That was me in 2021.)

Good day, everyone. My name is Mbali Nhlapho from Mpumalanga, in a small town called Ermelo.

My story is about the “Mindset,” the power of the mind. How you think can make you either succeed or fail.

I joined the INUKA business in 2017. I worked for a few months and left the business. Why? Because I lacked two main things: self-motivation and guidance. Unfortunately, my upline is no longer with the INUKA business, but that was not supposed to stop me from doing my business. It was not her business, it was mine. She was just there to guide me. “The power of advertising your business” After I had left the business for four years, in 2021 I saw Roann’s post about the INUKA business. I then asked her to help me get back to the business. Since then, I ran and never looked back. Even COVID-19 failed to stop me, because my mind had changed for the better. When I attended the first event after COVID-19, I could feel the pain of defaulting in the business. I was still a Senior Member at that time, and Members I had joined with in 2017 were already Diamond Leaders and more. I would attend only with one of my downlines, Alice. We would maybe be recognised for Club 40 or other achievements that many Members had already passed. Then, after the event, we would say to each other, “You know what, partner? Kumele siphume esicukwini,” meaning we need to get out of the crowd.

“I come from a poor background. That statement must stop with me, not with my children.”

In closing, marketing a business is like baking a cake. If one ingredient is missing, it is no longer a cake.

- Make yourself available for your business. - Promote your products. - Attend presentations and training. - Recruit.

Leaders, please take care of your Members, physically, emotionally and even financially.

Failure is part of life, but embracing failure is a choice.
