Natural Language Processing (NLP) The ability of computers to understand, interpret, and respond to human language in a natural way. Network Aggregation The process of combining multiple network connections or data streams to increase bandwidth and reliability. Neural Network A computer system modeled after the human brain that learns to recognize patterns in data, similar to how students learn from examples. Perplexity An AI-powered search engine that is designed to answer questions by citing factual research. Personally identifiable information (PII) Information connected to a specific individual that can be used to uncover that individual's identity, such as their social security number, full name, email address, or phone number. Prompt Instructions or questions a human enters into an AI tool in order to get responses. Token A unit of text (like a word or part of a word) that AI systems process. Think of it as the building blocks of language for AI. Training Data The information used to teach an AI system, similar to how textbooks and examples help students learn new concepts.
