Meet Melissa! Melissa worked as a second grade school teacher and retired early due to joint issues dealing with Lupus. During the start of her Lupus treatment, Melissa dealt with multiple doctors, medicines, and surgeries, but always felt physical
therapy benefited her. Over the past ten years Melissa has chosen Orthopedic and Balance Therapy Specialists for her physical therapy treatment. Melissa struggled walking and standing for a long period of time. This strong pain affected her ability to walk down the school hallways, even causing her to miss out on family trips to the beach! After completing her personalized plan of care, Melissa has reached her goal of walking on the sandy beach! Melissa later started laser therapy treatment, which controlled her inflammation allowing her to reach another goal of sleeping through the entire night!
