Either way you look at it these days, travelling is expensive. But, ask any travel agent and they will tell you that more Americans are travelling, and they are travelling more. When making your plans to travel to Institute in San Antonio this fall, here are some things to consider: If you are driving you want to consider the time factor, traffic, tolls, parking, as well as the cost of gas and wear and tear on the car. But then there are benefits. You don’t have to book ahead of time and

there are no cancellations or baggage fees, if you are a heavy packer, so to speak. Also, as it stands right now, the Lone Star state has some of the cheapest gas prices in the country. Lastly, if you have a group coming from your city, you can carpool and share the cost (Road Trip!!).

On the other hand, Institute is in October and that means the summer is over. You are likely to get a better airfare and find fewer people in the airport. Since you are not driv- ing you can multitask while flying or better yet, you can relax. There are no tolls, no traffic to sit through and no parking. Shut- tling around San Antonio is easy and there are plenty of choices to get you to and from the hotel. Best of all is the time commit- ment. Nonstop flights from Denver to San Antonio for example are only two hours, and from Tulsa to San Antonio are only three hours, versus the car ride of 8 hours. And to drive from Denver? Well….. Whether you fly or drive, make the trip to San Antonio safely, and come to learn, laugh and leave happy!
