The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum is America’s premier institution of Western history, art and culture. Founded in 1955, the Museum, located in Oklahoma City, collects, preserves and exhibits an internationally renowned collection of Western history, material culture and art that stimulate dynamic programs to promote interest in the enduring legend of the American West. OKLAHOMA HISTORY CENTER The Oklahoma History Center is an eighteen- acre, 215,000-square-foot learning center exploring Oklahoma’s unique history of geology, transportation, commerce, culture, aviation, heritage and more. The Oklahoma History Center Museum is a Smithsonian Affiliate and is accredited by the
American Alliance of Museums with five different galleries sharing the history and culture of the people of Oklahoma. The Oklahoma Historical Society Research Center and Archives are a National Archives Affiliate and is also located in the OHC.
