Further visa options and advice During and After your Course: Student Visa Holders
Work Rights Student visa holders can work for up to 20 hours per week during term-time, but cannot be self- employed or engage in business activity
Your Responsibilities The University is required to monitor your academic engagement with your course of study. If you do not engage with your studies for a long period, your Student Visa may be cancelled.
If you need to extend your registration or resit exams The Student Visa Advice Service will offer bespoke advice and assist you with further Student Visa applications if necessary
After your Course End Date The UKVI grants a so- called “wrap - up period” of 4 months of visa after your course end date. This is for you to settle your affairs in the UK, or apply for further Permission to Stay (a new visa) You can work full-time during this period, once you have finished your studies
