Introduction from The Master
We are very pleased to share a truly heartening 2025 ISI report on our College. There are now no single word descriptions summarising the quality of a school in the latest inspection frameworks from ISI. There are, however, several examples where the inspection team has captured and praised our shared efforts and day-to-day standards in their final report. We have published some findings here and the complete version will be available through ISI and on our website. Everyone’s diligence and pride in the College has been evident to the inspection team and it is clearly noted in the final report.
So too are our successes in important areas: pupils’ personal development, teaching and learning, safeguarding, facilities, and co-curricular activities. Positive reports are given about the pupils’ happiness at all ages, their aspirations, characters and educational growth; and the ways in which all colleagues and members of the governing body collaborate, with the support of our families, to achieve the very best. On a personal note, it is great to see the clear support for the College, its approach and aims, in the pupil and parent responses that underpinned many of the inspection findings. It is also encouraging to see that the report notes a shared commitment to the College’s cogent ambitions. This feedback is really encouraging, and also incredibly helpful. We hope to keep working collaboratively, with everyone involved in the College, in the coming years, and it’s fantastic to have such a sound platform to build on. Like all inspections, there are naturally areas for development or reflection highlighted. We will test our understanding of these points and address them in a considered and appropriate manner. Thank you to everyone involved in this inspection: the preparations for them are significant and tremendously onerous, especially whilst seeking to maintain a smooth-running and calm school environment. I would very much like to thank all of the operational and teaching staff, as well as the pupils, parents, governors and senior colleagues for their care, openness and application in this process. I hope everyone feels very proud of the College and their valuable role within it. Yours sincerely, with many thanks, Mr Robert Milne Master
