As we move further into autumn, the fenestration industry continues to demonstrate its ability to adapt, innovate and uncover new opportunities. This October edition of Fenestration Digital brings together the latest product launches, business developments and industry insights, alongside an important date in the National Fenestration Awards calendar. On Saturday 24th October 2026, the NFA finalists will be announced during our Winners Event at Doncaster Racecourse. It’s a key moment in this year’s campaign, recognising the businesses and individuals who have earned their place among the contenders. We’re looking forward to sharing the results and celebrating the achievements of our industry. There is plenty to explore in this month’s issue, from expanding product portfolios to the technology and research shaping the way businesses operate. Stevenswood has broadened its aluminium offering with several significant additions, while RENOLIT’s latest Ulti-Matt finishes reflect the increasing popularity of softer, nature-inspired colours in contemporary window and door design. Sustainability remains an important topic, with REHAU and FENSA making progress through their uPVC recycling partnership, which has already seen more than 7,000 window frames collected. We also look at how Polyframe is helping installers identify fresh commercial opportunities through its new REHAU
campaign, and how Keystone Market Research is making consumer data more accessible through its innovative digital platform. In the hardware sector, SIEGENIA introduces a range developed specifically for the UK market, while Allegion examines the importance of combining reliable mechanical hardware, accredited products and emerging smart technologies to strengthen security. These stories highlight the continued importance of understanding customer needs, investing in product development and delivering solutions that offer lasting value. This edition also features RENOLIT UK’s continued support for the National Fenestration Awards, renewing its sponsorship of the PVCu Systems Company of the Year category. Partnerships such as these play an important role in recognising excellence and bringing our industry together. As ever, thank you to everyone who contributes news, shares expertise and helps keep Fenestration Digital a valuable source of information for the sector. We hope this month’s edition offers fresh ideas, useful insights and plenty of inspiration for the months ahead. Enjoy the read, and we look forward to seeing the NFA community come together at Doncaster Racecourse on 24th October!

RENOLIT ULTI-MATT – MOSS GREY & BROWN GREY
Going green is taking on a new meaning with RENOLIT’s new foils. Although both our latest colours are officially named as greys, they both have a strong element of green. In recent years, greens have been a prominent trend colour for interior surfaces. As typically happens, this trend is increasingly making its way over to exterior foils as well. To met this trend, RENOLIT have developed 2 new colours, Moss Grey Ulti-Matt and Brown Grey Ulti-Matt to sit alongside other popular greens from their existing collections such as Sage Ulti-Matt.
process of the foil.
Both colours are produced in the RENOLIT EXOFOL PX grade of exterior films and have a warranty of up to 15 years, depending on the global geographic, climatic region. RENOLIT EXOFOL PX exterior films come with our innovative Sol Shield Technology (SST) as standard. With SST, the base film is manufactured using copolymer technology. The lack of plasticiser in the base film reduces heat build up and ensures that the film can last for longer on external applications. It also means the film will keep it’s original colour for longer and will perform better when exposed to high temperatures and direct sunlight. The data can then be broken down across product categories including windows, doors, glazing and extension roof styles, helping businesses understand the end-customer, identify growing opportunities, gaps in the market and changing priorities, for more targeted product and marketing development.
Signal™ Sales helps address this by leading the installer and homeowner through the choices that thousands of similar homeowners have made, leading to a confident specification seamlessly.” “At the same time, through our Intelligence model, we’re putting all the data directly into users’ hands. Instead of a static report to read through, users can tailor the data to their exact requirements.” “I’m incredibly proud of this latest launch. Keystone Signal™ Sales is an intuitive sales aid that I believe can be a game-changer for installers - helping them demonstrate a genuine understanding of their customers’ needs and style, build trust and ultimately increase profitability. And Keystone Signal™ Intelligence is an exciting step forward for our wider market data, allowing users to explore more than 22,000 consumer preference data points through a very simple process.” “Together, the Keystone Signal™ platform creates a powerful new way for fenestration businesses to use consumer research, turning complex data into a clear direction for sales, product and marketing decisions.” For more information about Keystone Signal™, or to book a demonstration, visit www.keystonemr.co.uk or email hello@keystonemr.co.uk.
KEYSTONE MARKET RESEARCH LAUNCHES KEYSTONE SIGNAL™: POWERFUL NEW ONLINE PLATFORM TURNS CONSUMER DATA INTO CLEAR DIRECTION
Charlotte Hawkes, Director at Keystone Market Research, said:
“For data to be useful, it needs to be applied as easily as possible. Keystone Signal™ moves consumer data from static reports into a game-changing service that can be used both at the point of sale and at the point of product and marketing development - and tailored specifically to each company’s needs.” “Early on in our research, I could see the potential for this data to be used by installers in the home. As we saw the statistics around homeowners not receiving the support they needed, it became even more apparent how much of an impact this could have if we could make the insight user-friendly and enable it to be tailored at the time of the conversation.” “Our installer research reinforced that opportunity. Time and time again, installers told us that one of the frustrations in the industry today is that homeowners don’t always know what they want, change their minds repeatedly and look to the installer to guide their decision-making. Keystone
Keystone Market Research has launched Keystone Signal™, a new online software platform designed to transform the company’s comprehensive fenestration consumer research from static reports into actionable intelligence - helping installers apply targeted end-customer data directly at the point of sale and throughout the supply chain for product and marketing development. Developed from Keystone Market Research’s extensive programme of consumer research, Keystone Signal™ brings together more than 22,000 consumer data points into one database, making detailed insight easier to access, explore and apply to real-world business decisions. The platform launches with two distinct applications: Keystone Signal™ Sales, an intuitive sales aid designed for installers and salespeople, and Keystone Signal™ Intelligence, a powerful data interrogation platform for product developers, manufacturers, suppliers and marketing teams. Keystone Signal™ Sales: Keystone Signal™ Sales has been developed to help installers better understand homeowners and guide them through product and style choices during the sales conversation. Keystone’s latest consumer research found that just 7% of homeowners said that, when window or door salespeople visited their home, they addressed what mattered most to them and recommended styles that suited their taste very well. In the same survey, 91% of homeowners said that if two installation companies offered similar products, they would choose the company that better demonstrated an understanding of their needs
and style, and 60% said they would still choose that company if it was more expensive.
For installers, this creates a significant opportunity.
Keystone Signal™ Sales uses insight from thousands of homeowners to help guide the conversation - supporting installers as they work with customers to identify preferences, narrow down choices and arrive at a specification that reflects what matters to that individual homeowner. This is particularly relevant to one of the frustrations repeatedly highlighted in Keystone’s installer research: homeowners often don’t know exactly what they want, change their minds throughout the process and increasingly look to installers to support their decision-making. Rather than relying solely on instinct or presenting homeowners with an overwhelming range of choices, Keystone Signal™ Sales provides a simple, guided way to use consumer insight at the point of sale, supporting installers to build trust, increase sales and profitability. Keystone Signal™ Intelligence: The second application, Keystone Signal™ Intelligence, takes Keystone’s consumer research beyond the traditional report. Rather than providing customers with a static document to read through, the platform allows users to explore and tailor the data to their own business applications. Users can analyse consumer preferences across a range of demographics, including age, gender, location, property type, property age, tenure and life stage.

REHAU-FENSA RECYCLING PARTNERSHIP
PVCR collects across the whole of the UK, from the Isle of Wight to the north of Scotland, through a network of satellite hubs where frames are stored before transport to Runcorn. Its national reach sets it apart, enabling installers almost anywhere in the country to take part. It’s a commitment to making recycling accessible to every window company in the industry that REHAU started 8 years ago and plans to continue to grow in the future. It is a simple process where PVCR will collect your old (deglazed) windows from site removing them via recycling vehicles. Each collection is covered by a waste carrier’s licence and waste transfer note, ensuring installers have documented proof that their waste has been dealt with correctly. This point is incredibly important, because liability for fly-tipping frames lands on the installer who produced them, rather than the company that collected them. Ian Ward, Purchasing Manager at PVCR, said: “This has been a really successful launch, and the numbers are only part of the story. Every frame we collect through FENSA is material we secure directly, clean and put back into new REHAU windows, which is exactly the closed loop the industry keeps talking about. “What I would say to installers is that this is really simple to get involved with, it’s free, and it gives you the paperwork to prove you are doing the right thing. We collect nationally, so wherever you are, we can almost certainly reach you. The more installers who join us, the more old windows we can keep out of landfill and turn into new ones.” With four months of collections behind it, REHAU expects the scheme to build steadily, and projects it could recycle in the region of 25,000 to 30,000 windows over its first full year – the equivalent of between 3,500 and 4,200 houses. That predicted expansion accompanies the consistent investment into PVCR’s recycling capacity, as REHAU works to keep more of its material within its own supply chain. For more on the FENSA Recycling Scheme and how to take part, visit the FENSA installer portal and navigate to the benefits page, or see PVCR.
REHAU UK has partnered with the FENSA Recycling Scheme to offer installers across the UK free disposal and recycling for uPVC windows. More than 7,000 window frames have been collected and recycled through REHAU’s involvement in the scheme since it launched in February 2026. That’s the equivalent of an estimated 1000 homes – with all old windows recycled in the first four months of the partnership. Run through REHAU’s recycling division, PVCR, the scheme gives installers a free, compliant route for their end-of-life uPVC frames for those who want to save on waste disposal costs and support sustainability in the fenestration sector. Since February it has drawn 60 enquiries and brought 35 new customers into the collection network, many of them moving to regular weekly collections rather than one-off drops. The scheme also provides an easy way for installers to improve their sustainability credentials and carbon footprint, at no additional cost to the business. The 7,000 frames are material kept out of landfill and, in REHAU’s case, returned to production through their closed-loop system. Frames collected from installers are brought back to PVCR’s plant in Runcorn, where they are shredded and cleaned through multiple sorting stages into a fine white granulate. That material then travels to REHAU’s manufacturing site in Blaenau Ffestiniog, where it becomes recycled compound used in the core of new REHAU window profiles. Old windows, in effect, become new ones. OFFERS INSTALLERS FREE UPVC WINDOW DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING

Barry Halpin, Commercial Director- OEM Solutions at Allegion Safety & Security Solutions ltd, explores the latest security trends, preventative strategies, and hardware innovations helping to protect homes, commercial buildings, and shared spaces in 2026. Security threats continue to evolve, making it more important than ever for homeowners, developers, housing providers, and businesses to invest in proven physical security solutions. While smart technology is transforming the industry, robust door hardware, accredited locking systems, and certified security products remain the foundation of effective protection against burglary and unauthorised access. Today’s security landscape requires a combination of intelligent technology and high-performance hardware. By selecting the right products and adopting preventative measures, building owners can significantly reduce the risk of break-ins while improving convenience and peace of mind. Security trends driving the market in 2026 One of the biggest shifts in the security sector is the growing adoption of electronic access control and smart locking systems. No longer limited to commercial buildings, these solutions are increasingly PREVENTING BREAK- INS IN 2026: SECURITY STRATEGIES AND HARDWARE INNOVATIONS FOR SAFER BUILDINGS
and remote control becoming standard requirements rather than premium features. However, while digital technologies continue to advance, physical security hardware remains critical. A smart locking system is only as effective as the mechanical hardware supporting it. As a result, manufacturers are placing greater emphasis on developing integrated security solutions that combine intelligent access management with certified locks, cylinders and door hardware. Practical steps to prevent break- ins While innovative products continue to shape the future of security, many burglaries can still be prevented through simple yet effective measures. The first priority should always be securing key entry points, including front doors, rear doors, windows and patio doors. Establishing a routine of checking that doors are locked and windows are secured before leaving a property remains one of the most effective deterrents against opportunistic crime. Video doorbells, CCTV systems and remote monitoring solutions also provide an additional layer of protection by acting as visible deterrents and enabling occupants to monitor activity around their property. However, security products should never be selected solely on appearance or convenience. Performance-tested hardware and accredited
locking systems play a vital role in ensuring buildings remain protected against increasingly sophisticated attack methods. When specifying security products, two of the most important certifications to consider are PAS 24 and Secured by Design. These recognised standards provide independent assurance that products have undergone rigorous testing against attempted methods of forced entry, giving both specifiers and end users confidence in their performance. Why certified hardware matters As criminal attack techniques become more advanced, trusted hardware remains one of the most effective ways to enhance security. High-security cylinders featuring anti-snap, anti-bump, anti-pick and anti-drill protection help defend against some of the most common methods used by burglars. Similarly, multipoint locking systems provide enhanced door security by engaging multiple locking positions along the frame, making forced entry significantly more difficult. In 2026, demand for independently tested and certified products continues to grow as legislation, insurance requirements and customer expectations place greater emphasis on proven security performance. The door and window industry therefore has an important responsibility to ensure that products are not only secure, but also clearly supported by testing, certification and
being specified in residential developments, apartment blocks, student accommodation and mixed-use projects. Users now expect seamless access experiences, with mobile credentials, app-based management

SNAP IT. SEND IT. ENJOY – SHEERLINE LAUNCHES NEW GIVEAWAY AIMED AT INSTALLERS
Sheerline has launched a new ‘Snap It. Send It. Enjoy’ giveaway aimed at installers of its popular S1 Roof Lantern. Running from Monday 21 September, installers are being invited to put their best S1 projects forward to win a £10 Greggs voucher. Entering the giveaway is easy. All participants need to do is take a photo of their S1 installation, send it to Sheerline, and once reviewed, they’ll receive a £10 Greggs voucher via email. There are several ways to enter – via the website, social media, or email. Rather than one main prize, installers have the chance to enter – and be rewarded – up to three times. Sheerline’s Marketing Director, Lee Renshaw, commented: “Aside from being a celebration of our S1 Roof Lantern, this giveaway has a dual purpose. We want to recognise the great work being carried out by installers up and down the country.” “Secondly, we sell thousands of S1s each year. We offer 13 different styles, bespoke colours, ventilation, and the ability to add lighting. But we don’t often see the completed installation, so we want to see as many S1 projects as possible!” he added. 2026 marks five years since the S1 was launched. During that time, the key components have remained the same. However, updates have been released to ensure the S1 remains competitive such as the 3-way option.
S1 Still Unmatched campaign, which highlights a different feature or benefit of the S1 each month. The giveaway falls within the campaign and provides another opportunity to highlight how installer-friendly the product is. Jon Crohill, Technical & Design Office Manager, said: “Many of the features that enabled the S1 to stand out – aesthetics, security, strength, efficiency, and ventilation – are as relevant today as when it was first launched.” “This is a testament to the original design brief and illustrates what can be achieved with a bit of time and consideration. This giveaway is a great opportunity to shout about the S1 and its enduring popularity,” he added. To enter the giveaway, visit the website here: www.sheerline.com/s1-unmatched-giveaway

STEVENSWOOD STRENGTHENS ALUMINIUM OFFERING WITH MAJOR RANGE EXPANSION
Stevenswood has significantly expanded its aluminium offering with the addition of Aluna, Korniche and Jack Aluminium to its portfolio, giving installers access to its broadest-ever range of aluminium products. The new additions join established Stevenswood aluminium partners Smart and Atlas, extending the trade supplier’s offer across windows, entrance doors, bifolds, sliding doors, roof lanterns, rooflights and commercial systems. The expansion means installers can now source products for a wider variety of residential and light commercial projects through Stevenswood, reducing the need to work with multiple suppliers. Alongside its existing Smart Aluminium range of windows, doors, bifolds, sliders, entrance doors and Heritage systems, Stevenswood has introduced the Aluna collection of aluminium windows and doors.
Its roofing portfolio has also grown, with Korniche roof lanterns and flat rooflights joining the existing Atlas range of lanterns, flat rooflights and conservatory roof solutions. Meanwhile, the introduction of Jack Aluminium takes Stevenswood further into the light commercial market, adding commercial entrance doors, shopfront systems and internal glazed screens and doors to its offering. Elaine Baird – Group Head of Marketing at Stevenswood said: “Aluminium has been an important part of our range for many years, but this expansion takes our offer to another level. “By bringing Aluna, Korniche and Jack Aluminium into the portfolio alongside established brands such as Smart and Atlas, we can support our customers across a much wider variety of projects. “For installers, that means more choice and the opportunity to source more of what they need
from one supplier, backed by the local service and support they already receive from Stevenswood. “We’ve also invested in product training across our teams, so this isn’t simply about adding more products. We want our customers to have the knowledge and support they need when they’re quoting, ordering and growing the aluminium side of their businesses.” To mark the expansion, Stevenswood has launched Aluminium Season, which runs from 1 September to 30 November 2026. Under the campaign’s Build More With Aluminium theme, existing customers can earn rewards by purchasing across qualifying aluminium product categories. The campaign is designed to encourage installers to explore the breadth of the expanded range and consider how aluminium could help them quote for more of each project and take advantage of new opportunities.
Stevenswood has also trained its teams across the new product ranges, adding specialist product knowledge to its existing trade counter support. Customers continue to benefit from services including free local delivery, free skip use, free fixings and packers, and free marketing materials. Elaine Baird: “Stevenswood is well known as a uPVC window and door supplier, and that remains a hugely important part of our business. Growing our aluminium range complements that strength. “Whether a customer needs uPVC, aluminium, composite products or roofing solutions, our aim is to make it as straightforward as possible for them to get what they need and get on with the job.” Aluminium Season runs across Stevenswood from 1 September until 30 November 2026. Customers can speak to their local Stevenswood trade counter to find out more about the expanded aluminium range and campaign.

POLYFRAME LAUNCHES ‘12 WEEKS OF REHAU’ CAMPAIGN TO HELP INSTALLERS UNLOCK NEW OPPORTUNITIES
The campaign will also encourage installers to look beyond individual window orders and consider the potential to supply more of each project. Polyframe manufactures a broad REHAU portfolio covering casement, flush sash and tilt & turn windows, residential and French doors, as well as SLINOVA sliding patio doors. Elaine Baird Group head of marketing for Polyframe said: “12 Weeks of REHAU is about showing customers just how much opportunity there is within the range. Whether that means adding more colour options, introducing flush sash or sliding products, supplying more of a complete property or looking at opportunities outside their traditional market, we want to give customers the products, information and support to help them grow. “It’s also about going beyond individual product features. Thermal efficiency, security, weather performance, acoustics and low maintenance all matter to the end customer, so we want to help installers translate those technical benefits into stronger sales conversations.” Commercial opportunities will form another important part of the campaign. Polyframe
supports light commercial and larger-scale projects with specification and technical assistance, performance information and project advice, including support from tender through to installation. A major focus will be REHAU ARTEVO, the advanced 80mm system manufactured by Polyframe using REHAU’s RAU-FIPRO X composite technology. Two weeks of the campaign will be dedicated to ARTEVO – initially exploring the system and its capabilities, before looking at the markets and projects where installers could use it to expand their pipeline. Combining structural capability with slim sightlines, large glazing possibilities and strong thermal performance, ARTEVO is suitable for applications ranging from residential developments and high- performance homes to education, healthcare, offices and public-sector buildings. The campaign will conclude by looking towards future market requirements, including energy efficiency, sustainability and whole-life product considerations. ARTEVO profile cores can contain up to 75% recycled PVC, while its composite construction reduces reliance on conventional steel reinforcement. Elaine Baird added: “The campaign may run for 12 weeks, but the bigger objective is what happens afterwards. We want customers to come away with a better understanding of what’s available to them and where their next opportunities could be. “Whether they want to expand their product range, pursue larger commercial projects, explore ARTEVO or simply grow the REHAU business they’re already winning, Polyframe has the manufacturing capability and expertise to support them.” Polyframe will publish a new focus throughout each week of the 12 Weeks of REHAU campaign. The trade fabricator’s ‘12 Weeks of REHAU’ campaign will run throughout the autumn, putting a different aspect of Polyframe’s REHAU offer in the spotlight each week – from colour, flush sash and sliding doors to commercial opportunities, technical support and next-generation window technology.
more than 30 years, the campaign aims to give Polyframe customers practical information they can use to broaden their offering and strengthen conversations with homeowners and commercial clients. Across the 12 weeks, Polyframe will highlight opportunities around REHAU’s extensive colour options, Rio flush sash windows and SLINOVA sliding patio doors, alongside the performance benefits that can help installers turn product specifications into compelling customer benefits.
