COMMUNITY CENTRE Rowlett
The Community Centre is now open! In order to keep our patrons safe, we have implemented new restrictions. Prior to entering/using the facility, you must reserve a time at the Rowlett Community Centre. Click the link below, set up an account and then you will be able to book a time quickly and easily online (only one reservation per person per day). You can reserve your spot by visiting www.signupgenius.com/go/rccreopening .
A FEW FRIENDLY REMINDERS :
• Attendance at the facility and all programs are at 50% of capacity. • Please practice social distancing while inside and outside the facility. • The RCC is only open to members only at this time. • If you need a membership, you may call the front desk, 972-412-6170, and they can sign you up over the phone! • Visitors will que in front of the RCC.
• Entry will be through the front door and exit will be through the door between the Racquetball courts and Gym B (upstairs). • Staff will ask some very brief pre-screening questions and take your temperature. If your temperature is above 99.6 degrees, we will ask you to come back another day. • You must wear gloves and a mask in the fitness areas. • You must wear a mask throughout the building at all times. • We will strictly enforce time limits so please be kind to our team when they issue gentle reminders that it is time for the next group.

BASKETBALL GYMS
Two full size basketball courts are available to members during regular business hours. * * Please check the monthly gym schedule or ask staff about gym availability.
RAQUETBALL COURTS
• First come first served reservations in one-hour increments • A $5 paid fee guarantees a court reservation up to 3 days in advance • Reservations are forfeited after 10 minutes if no show • Children between 7-15 years of age may use the court when accompanied by any person 16 years or older • Raquets, racquetballs, and protective eye wear are available for rental at the front desk • 10 court rental punch cards are now available for $35 each
FITNESS ROOM
• 6 treadmills • 4 ellipticals • 3 total body recumbent elliptical The Rowlett Community Centre features strength machines for both upper and lower body, free weights, and cardio equipment that includes:
• 2 recumbent bikes • 1 total body bicycle • 1 row machine
The fitness room is available to members and guests 16 years of age and older. Youth ages 12 – 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Kids will learn all about connecting cooking with math. This covers measuring, fractions, volume versus weight, and so much more. Math Chefs helps students in school by giving them a creative outlet to execute math principals.

Skyhawks was founded as a soccer club in 1979. Thirty years later, we are still the number one choice for parents looking to introduce their children to the fundamentals of the world’s most popular sport. Using our progressional curriculum, your young athlete will gain the technical skills and sport knowledge required for the next step into soccer. Designed for beginner and intermediate players, this camp focuses on dribbling, passing, shooting, and ball control.
Children will be introduced to numbers, letters, colors and shapes through music, stories, arts, crafts, environmental education, and physical ed- ucation. Each month will have a theme that will incorporate fun learning. Children must be potty trained. This program is first come first served.

This class takes you on an archery adventure with a fully trained and experienced guide to teach the basic skills of archery. The lesson is a 3-hour class that teaches the basic skills of archery, safety rules of archery, terminology, and bow and arrow identification and uses. All equipment will be supplied. The class is suitable for those that have no experience, or those that may have shot before and need a refresher!
Bring the activities home with Parks and Recre- ation Boxes. Receive hand selected items, such as athletic equipment, horticulture supplies, outdoor gear and crafting kits! Themed boxes are available to those who preorder for the next month for $45 and $55 for pickup while supplies last.

PILATES I
Tuesdays & Thursdays, January 5-28, 2021 9:30am - 10:30am Ages: 16+ Instructor: Dee Lancaster Fee: $20/$40 With this mix of Yoga, Pilates, & Resistance Train- ing with weights & bands, you will improve your balance, strengthen your muscles, joints and spine. The main goal of a Pilates workout is to tighten the core and abs. We rev the metabolism, burn calories and with added cardio, you get a full body work out that can be modified to fit the indi- vidual needs no matter your fitness level. If your goal is to lose weight you can achieve weight lo with a healthy diet. After your work out, enjoy a total mind and body relaxation time that helps relieve stress and tension. Register by the month, half month or drop-in-daily. Please bring a mat and towel to class.

Saturday, January 9-30, 2021 10:30am - 11:30am Ages: 16+ Instructor: Supreme Performance Fee: $80 per participant An interval training class that mixes calisthenics and body weight exercises with cardio and strength training. With a new workout every week, these classes are designed to push participants harder than they’d push themselves and to always keep the body guessing.

Come join this Pilates Mat class and strengthen, tighten & tone the entire body. The Pilates Mat work out is a series of exercises that are done solely on a mat and the goal is to tighten the core & abs. By going from one exercise to another you rev the metabolism, have fun and burn 400-500 calories in each class session. Attention to the flow of movement & core muscles is the same as a Pilates work out on machines, and is a challeng- ing work out but can be modified to fit individ- ual needs. If your goal is to lose weight, you can achieve weight loss with a healthy diet. Register by the month, half month or drop-in-daily. Please bring a mat and towel to class.
This workout class will motivate you, challenge you and take you out of your comfort zone. Each week, you will target every muscle group and will incorporate all components of a well-bal- anced fitness program. Variations of strength training, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility and abs workouts will change from week to keep it exciting and plateau proof. All fitness levels are welcome. Intense and low impact options will be offered!
