9.5 Premise verification
Purpose: Retail premises verification is a process carried out to ensure that Boutique premises have an adequate level of security from the expected risks. This audit will cover the verification of door locks and the key system, fire safety, pest control, CCTV surveillance system, etc.
Audit procedure:
The auditor will check the following:
1. Key control log for all keys and the key management process.
2. Ensure the Boutique has a functioning fire alarm system.
3. POS keys are being kept in a sealed/secured location.
4. The CCTV surveillance system is working and covering the correct areas.
5. All equipment, cabinets and lockers contain only authorized merchandise.
6. Availability of hand washing facility, sanitizer and dispenser, fire extinguishers, first aid kit, etc.
7. All equipment including ACs, furniture and fixtures are in proper condition.
Documents/Checklists for reference:
1. Key control log.
2. Audit checklists.
3. Fire extinguisher’s service certificate.
4. Pest control service certificate.
5. Maintenance log.
