“When Andrew’s 48 and I will be 65, then it might be time for me to step back a bit, but I know this is what I want to do for the next 20 plus years,” says Davis. “That’s what my dad did and that’s what my grandfather and uncles did, so it’s in my blood and it’s in Andrew’s blood. I love this company and this industry and I don’t know what I would do if I wasn’t doing this. Right now, the plan is to keep play- ing in the niches, selling boxes and having fun.” A New Era In Digital Printing: Karin Mander And DPP Lead The Way In the world of packaging, point-of-purchase displays, and signage, innovation is key. With the upcoming launch of Digital Print Partners (DPP) in Bolingbrook, Illinois, a new chapter in the industry is about to be written. At the helm of this groundbreaking venture is Karin Mander, a sea- soned professional with more than 30 years of experience in the corrugate industry. During her decades in the industry, Karin has overseen multiple roles, from project management, to sales, to man- agement, always with a focus on operations. This diverse experience has given her a well-rounded perspective on the industry. In an industry traditionally dominated by men, Karin has carved out a successful career by staying true to her beliefs and maintaining confidence in her knowl- CONTINUED ON PAGE 54

been invaluable. “Absolutely yes, it’s fun to get to know the people you’re going be around for the rest of your life,” he says. “I came into the industry not knowing anything and now I have access to others with knowledge of all facets

of a company, whether they be a box maker or a supplier.” As for the future, Davis says the plan is to continue in- vesting in the company and its people while supporting the next generation. He is 48 and has young children, but it’s too early to tell if they will be a part of the business. His cousin Andrew is 31 and is part of the succession plan that ensures the future of the company is in good hands.
