Before you quote, get them to commit to buy from you if you can offer a better solution than their current one. Bring the information you have captured back to your team and come up with a solution that you can confidently present to the prospect. Bring that solution back to the prospect. Be sure to ask for the order! I have proposed nothing revolutionary here but if you approach your customer with a clear intention to help them and you demonstrate professional curiosity and out- standing listening skills to show your understanding of their concerns, you will increase your chances of success.
