2.8 Customer account creation
Walk-in customer account creation: Purpose:
Walk-in customer account creation enables Bateel employees to create an account for the customer that is accessible and visible in all locations and the search criteria will be a 10-digit mobile number. Customer account creation will take place on the POS system, which will be able to capture purchase history and automatically update the discount. Procedure:

1. Log in with the Employee ID.
2. Select the “Customer” option from the menu .

3. Select the “Add Customer” option “NEW” .
4. Enter the 10-digit mobile number as per the format in the image (UAE number).
Ensure that the number provided by the customer will be the number that will be provided for future purchases.

5. Enter customer details as per the format below:
Account number will be the 10-digit mobile number
Customer name
Email address
Phone number
Note: All the fields are mandatory. After filling them in, click “save” .
6. To review the customer account, select “Walkin & Corporate” option.

7. Search the customer by using the mobile number or name provided. Customer will be added to the field with the customer type specification.
8. To confirm that the customer already exists in our data, enter the 10-digit mobile Number as per the format in the image below.

9. If the customer already has an existing account, the system will provide a notification with this pop- up message.

1. At the time of purchase, before invoicing the items, select the “Customer” option from the POS menu.
2. Select the “Walk - in & Corporate” option .

3. Select customer name from the field after using the mobile number for identification.
4. Confirm the customer account.

5. Enter items as per the normal process of billing.
6. Previous purchases will be shown in a pop-up message. Confirm the discount by selecting the “YES” option.

7. For the next purchase, the customer will be entitled to a higher discount if they have accumulated a higher amount. Confirm the discount by selecting the “YES” option.
8. The customer discount is automatically applied as 10% since they accumulated a purchase larger than AED 10K.
