POS & LS retail:
General functions:
The LS retail system forms a link between the front end of Boutiques and the business accounting setup. It offers several ways of exchanging data between Boutiques, Head Office and POS terminals. 1. To start LS retail POS, double click on the LS NAV Start icon on the POS screen. When you click on the blue screen, EPOS main logon screen appears.
2. To log in to the POS, click on the log on button and swipe the log in cards in the slot.
3. Start sales transactions.
Important Note: High volume boutiques with 2 POS must use both on a daily basis.
For existing customers: To search for an existing customer, click on Select Customer from the menu, click on the relevant column header and type the search value in the input box of the list and then press enter or click on the Find button.
If the customer is found in the list, select the line and click on the OK button.
Scan the barcode of the item in the input box.
Items can be selected from the menu buttons or lookup.
Click on the Lookup button from the sales menu, select item/s and then click OK (options to find or filter items are available as well).
For walk-in customers:
Scan the barcode of the item in the input box.
Items can be selected from the menu buttons or lookup.
Click on the Lookup button from the sales menu, select item/s and then click OK (options to find or filter items are available as well).

4. Modes of payment
To settle the transaction after selecting the required no. of items, click on the Bill Settlement button from the sales menu.
Payment can be settled through different modes (tender types) such as:
Cash
Currency
Credit Cards
Coupon
Post to customer account (credit customer)
Till area preparation and presentation:
Before store opening hours, the Boutique Manager/Manager in Charge is responsible for the following points:
1. The till machine is functioning properly.
2. A till roll has been placed in the till printer correctly and spare till rolls are available in the storage drawer under the POS. 3. Credit card machines are working properly and have printing rolls in place. Spare credit card rolls must be available in the storage drawer under the POS.
4. All essential stationery is available at the till and is functional.
5. The storage under the POS must be filled up with Bateel paper bags in all sizes.
6. Customer rights policy (when required) needs to be placed next to the POS.
7. All price point acrylics must be clean and in perfect condition.
8. Correct price points need to be checked on a daily basis.
9. The weighing scale must be clean and calibrated as per the municipality regulation.
