Access and privilege card:

MSR meaning:

This type of card is used to perform various business transactions through the POS terminal. The cards used in Bateel Boutiques are magnetic strip readers (MSR). Each card is issued to respective staff members and the name/employee ID is recorded on the card.

MSR card types

The cards issued to Bateel Boutiques are of mainly 2 types, depending on the employee’s designation :

1. MSR Sales Associates/Cashiers

2. MSR Manager

Privilege table:

The table below illustrates the functions attached to each type of card:

 It is mandatory that every team member use only his/her MSR card. Non-compliance will lead to strict disciplinary action.  In case of vacation or leave of one of the team members, the MSR card must be returned along with the health card to HO to retrieve his/her passport.  Manager’s card can be used by employees only in situation such as discount, exchange, refund and for open drawer option.  After the employee uses the Manager’s card, they need to return it to the safe and they must log the details into the Manager POS card tracking sheet.

1. Authorized usage of MSR

2. Staff performing the transactions with allotted cards.
