4.4 Glove usage
Purpose:
Gloves are a critical component in maintaining safety and hygiene standards in the food industry.
Using gloves is a MUST while:
Offering samples to the customer.
During order preparation.
Cutting and handling OPP paper.
DOs:
Hands must be washed before wearing gloves and after removing them.
Use gloves before handling any food item.
Change gloves:
When changing tasks, such as when switching between the rotation of dates and chocolates.
After taking out the garbage.
After sweeping, mopping, and cleaning.
If the gloves become contaminated from sneezing, coughing or touching one's hair or face with a gloved hand.
If they tear.
Discard the gloves after finishing each task.
DO N’ Ts:
Touch the POS screen and the system while wearing a glove.
Handle or show any box to a client while wearing gloves.
Touch surfaces and then touch food products.
Use your bare hands to touch any products (dates, chocolates, biscuits).
