cancer and raise money to help the grow- ing number of successes in finding cures for all of its various forms. “We still had a few marching around out- side in the drizzle,” said Carolyn Bourassa, community manager for the Canadian Can- cer Society’s Cornwall district office for the Five Counties region. “These people amaze me with how they put their heart and soul into raising the money.” The total for this year’s Maxville Relay for Life fundraiser is estimated right now at more than $325,000. Bourassa noted that some participants are still gathering more pledges and some corporate sponsors are pending with their final donations.
