Drafting 2 Use your ideas to write two groups of sentences. • First write about what your school looks like. • Then, write about what you like about school. Revising 3 Read what you have written to your partner. • Ask: How can I make it more interesting? • Make changes to your writing.

• Writing: Pupils learn to organise their ideas in sequence. Here they learn to organise their ideas under headings. ICT If pupils have access to the internet, tell them to type their work and email it to another pupil to read. DA If pupils are ready, tell them to write two paragraphs , each with a different main idea, about the topic ‘My School’. Instruct them to indent the first word of each paragraph. • Extension: Invite pupils to go on to write paragraphs about a topic of personal interest, such as food or sport.
